Author Spotlight: Jo Lawyer, author of “Wilderness Women”
Jo Lawyer is the author of several books spanning various genres. One of her books is Wilderness Women, published by Author Reputation Press.
Jo’s writing career started at a rather late stage of her life. It was during her sixties when she found herself wanting to write as part of her effort to cope with her husband’s death.
She was one of six children. However, her health condition forced her to stay at home all the time. She spent most of her younger years taking care of the animals and writing, though this was only a hobby at the time.
Jo’s passion in writing withered after the family moved to St. Louis when a series of catastrophic tragedies struck. She had to let go of her dog. Then her husband died. She even broke her wrist in an accident. Then she found solace in writing as an outlet for her grief.
Her other three books are The Vision, Return to Yesterday, and Familiar Strangers. She wrote Wilderness Women in St. Louis, Missouri, where she currently lives.
