Sherry Lynn Dyck’s memoir, An Angel Walks Beside Me, is a gripping story of a young mother’s deep struggle with unresolved grief over the deaths of her newborn triplets. And Author Reputation Press is proud and excited to release the book in the next few months.

Occurring at a time when the effects of incomplete recovery from the loss of a loved one find limited discussion, Sherry’s struggles were compounded by her ignorance to its adverse effects on her capacity to regain happiness.

Her inability to accept the loss of her triplets confined her to the pits of grief, causing great emotional distress to both her and her family. Then she began to develop irrational and dysfunctional thoughts and actions.

Painfully real and heartbreaking, the author takes you on a journey of hope and recovery marked with mental health diagnoses, a chronic pain diagnosis (directly related to the pregnancy), and addiction to alcohol. For that, she had to stay at a rehab facility for three months.

Sherry hopes for An Angel Walks Beside Me to be an eye-opener to the society in terms of how it views grief, mental health, and addiction. Written while she was grieving, the book is intended to help parents through their own grief over the death of their child.
