Author Spotlight: Ron Vance, author of “Bible Sticks”

Ron Vance, author of Bible Sticks: An Unlikely Calling, has spent most of his life serving the ministry of God.

Ron is currently the associate minister at the Western Hills Church of Christ, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, since June 1987. His main responsibility is overseeing the youth and education, with extended duties that cover missionary and outreach efforts.

Ron’s life is inspired by the ministry with Western Hills Church for the most part. He has served in three ministries in two states: Ohio and Kentucky.

Ron earned his two degrees from Cincinnati Christian University. Aside from his ministry, he also carves wood, which is the focus of Bible Sticks.

He was born in Wilmington, Ohio, where he also grew up. Most of Ron’s life, however, revolved around Cincinnati, Ohio.

He has two brothers who also serve in the ministry. One of them is his identical twin.
