Author Robert Nichelson talks about his novel The Swede of Love and War with Ric Bratton for This Week in America. Based on real events during World War II, the book chronicles the story of Hans Gruber and Sven Eriksson, the terrors they went through during the war, and the passion they share with the women they love.

Based on a real romantic story between two young people from Sweden, the book is a chronicle of Hans’ battle to survive through desperate times during World War II.

Separated by war, Hans’ only fight that truly matters is fighting to stay alive so he can return home to the woman he loves, and his child he has never seen yet.

The Swede of Love and War is based on real events during the war between Hitler and the Russians as seen through the viewpoint of Hans. Listen to the full interview below:
