Robert Perkins shares his poetry of gratitude with listeners of Ric Bratton’s radio program

This episode of This Week in America with Ric Bratton brings the poetry collection of Robert Perkins to the radio program’s audiences across the United States.

Perkins’ book offers every reason to be thankful for everything that takes place and comes to pass around him – from seeing a firetruck pass by in times of emergency to receiving a simple gesture of comfort from friends and family when he’s feeling down.

It is a collection of everyday experiences that humans go through without minding. Some examples of events are as light as family and friends lifting us up when we are feeling down.

Then there are the spiritual times in our life, such as a rainbow, or a caress of a breeze on our sweaty brow. All of these and more are brought to light in this volume of Let Us Give Thanks. You never know what other people or places you may think of as you read this small collection of poems.
