Author Spotlight: Jake Bussolini, author of “Suspicion”
Jake Bussolini, author of Suspicion, started his 33-year career at Grumman in 1962 as an electrical engineer.
His career covered a wide range of assignments in Engineering and Business Management. He was promoted to Corporate Vice President of Business Operations in 1985 and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Technology in 1990.
He was named the lead executive assessing Grumman’s future business opportunities in 1992, an assignment that lead into partnering and merger discussions with The Northrop Corporation.
When Northrop’s acquisition of Grumman was concluded in 1994, he was appointed by Northrop’s CEO as co-leader of the transition team, assigned the task of effectively integrating the two companies.
His final assignment at Grumman and Northrop placed him in a unique position to be intimately familiar with every aspect of the studies and activities that resulted in the acquisition of Grumman by Northrop. As a result, he had complete access to the details of this fascinating and unpredictable takeover available to very few others, and permitted disclosure of the full story contained in this book. His hobbies include fishing.
