Ken Jackson talks about capturing fleeting moments and taking pleasure in captured scenes
In this episode of This Week in America with Ric Bratton, author Ken Jackson shares his ideas for his travel book Memories Of Yesterday.
Jackson revealed how he started his photography as a teenager, although at first he did not know what it was to take pictures of. His book is a photography book sans the typical tour de force inherent in most titles of the same genre. Instead, the book contains the author’s personal collection of pictures taken in different places and countries where Kenneth has set foot on.
Of course, he began with a film camera and laments that most of the the youth these days are no longer able to appreciate its use due to the rise of digital cameras.
Memories Of Yesterday is about the author’s trips and journeys captured in photos that were taken in different countries Ken visited. His passion in capturing moments from behind the camera is well brought to life by the book, thereby freezing time so that it becomes leisurely to just sit back and take a look at moments gone by over and over again. The author’s hope is for readers to take the same dose of pleasure from sifting through the pages of this beautifully crafted work of art.
