Writing a novel for the first time naturally poses a challenge to an author as well as excitement. Developing the plot, creating your characters, and building interest among readers are just a few of the things a writer must hurdle along the way, although these can be a fun experience, too.
For Michael Cristian, author of the epic novel The Princess: A Fairy Tale, his biggest challenge was coming up with the idea for his book. The author said:
“[My] greatest challenge is coming up with an idea, especially an original idea. That in itself is challenging enough.”
The Princess is an engaging and inspiring work of fiction about a young princess named Malina who sets out to save her beloved knight from captivity. It’s an original story that takes inspiration from popular fairy tales including Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien, the film Dragonheart: Vengeance, and the biblical epic film One Night With The King.
