Jeri Speaker was born in North York, Ontario, Canada. She is the mother to two sons, William and Michael, who have grown up and now have families of their own, and she treasures them all greatly.
Jeri enjoys the simple pleasures life has to offer, such as BBQs, taking her grandchildren on outings, watching sporting events, and drinking tea. She holds family and friends close to her heart, as time is precious.
She has cowritten the song Thank You for her sons with the artist Melani on her 2000 CD, Sunshine Love. Her poem, Missing YOU, written for her dear friend whom she calls Mommy, was published in Ballads of Our Lives, The International Library of Poetry, 2000.
This book is a compilation of poems that she wrote over her lifetime. Writing these poems was a survival tool for her. She hopes they speak to you; she hopes they inspire you, and she hopes they bring you a sense of peace, as they are meant to do so.
This book is filled with a full range of emotions about the many experiences she has had in her life. Grewing up writing as a survival tool, she thought she would take a few poems to share and leave for her boys to have when she’s gone.
