Author Matthew Cruise was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and retired after twenty years of faithful and dedicated service. He entered the service as a private and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. He served three tours in Vietnam as a personnel/finance officer. He was also the race relations officer and civil action officer.
Since his retirement in May of 1974, he and his wife have owned five different profitable businesses that were formed to bring “good-paying jobs” to the disadvantaged community. He is a family man who is devoted to God, a motivational speaker, and the author and publisher of a book entitled Blood Bath in Jasper County, Mississippi, that he published with the help of his cousin. And this is his second novel.
He and his beautiful wife, Barbara-Jackson-Cruise, have a total of seven children, seven grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. He is the founder and president of Pull Up From Poverty Kenya and plans to open a microfinance bank in Bakersfield, California. His team has helped over 1,000 Kenyan women out of poverty by providing them with microloans. All profits are used to take care of eighty widows and three hundred seventy orphans.
He is also the founder and CEO of Pull Up From Poverty, Inc. in America, and has taught adult Bible at his church for over forty years. He is a member of Kingdom Warriors, a collaborative organization located in south-central Los Angeles. He also served as Vice President, Board of Directors, of The Bakersfield Senior Center for two years. Matthew has an unwavering passion for helping people. “Redistribution Of Wealth In America And Beyond: The New Civil War” will not serve its intended purpose unless we accept that we have been planted from the same seed. If we can agree that all of us originated first from the soil and blossomed into humans, the original seed was provided by God, if you believe there is a God; otherwise, this will be so many useless words. We are told that God formed man from the soil and gave him life by breathing life into him. He then made a woman by taking a rib from the man and making a woman. You know the story—the original First Family.
Imagine, if you will, a genealogy tree large enough to have every person who ever lived as a leaf on a branch of that tree of humanity. We are on that tree. We believe that an honest person who can see the logic so far must agree that we are all related cousins, at least. In order to understand what this means, when you hear or read about someone’s tree, that has been changed due to the element in which they live and the things that separate us, name, color, etc., upon a closer examination of the root, we will note that we come from the same root system that originated from the first seed.
