Author Spotlight: Paul Trittin, author of Jacobus
Paul Trittin, an author from Carson Valley, Nevada, recently published his historical fiction book, Jacobus, with Author Reputation Press. Like many other authors who have joined ARPress, Mr. Trittin initially wanted to make his book known to as many readers as possible once it hits the bookshelves, and we felt obliged to do our own duty of not just distributing the book to a wide range of bookstores but also to launch aggressive marketing campaigns to increase the book’s visibility.
Set in the first century Roman Empire, Jacobus tells the story of a young teenager who was sent to live with his relatives in Sicily, Italy, to learn the ways of running the shipping business of his Jewish family. His journey as an apprentice businessman led to the discovery of his extraordinary leadership skills.
However, what came next after a night of visionary revelation took the family by storm. His brother-in-law, Simon, awoke from a frightening dream which prompted the family to take him to Jerusalem for Passover. Then Jacobus would spend the rest of his life doing missionary works from India to Jerusalem together with his faithful Carthaginian friend.
Jacobus is one of the many riveting books published by ARPress with a high regard for literary command. That’s understandable since the book has been written by an author with diverse professional background. Mr. Trittin was born in 1946 in Southern California. His early education was spent at the Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. Later in his career, he served for the US Army in Congressional Liaison during the Vietnam era.
Seemingly mirroring Jacobus’ life as an apprentice businessman, Mr. Trittin also held the role of vice president for three family held corporations with a total of 100 employees. Later, he moved to Brussels to found the Global University with three colleagues. He served as the director for textbook publications. This opened the opportunity for Mr. Trittin to venture into the book publishing industry.
Later in his career, he became the Director of Operations for Life Publishers International based in Miami. At the same time, he was a member of the organization’s Editorial Board. Mr. Trittin was also the first non-Flemish artist to join the National Flemish Art Exhibition in Brussels.
After that, he became a Primary Partner at YangTri Trading International and a Partner at MIR House Publishing, both based in Kansas City. He was also a Partner at BT Concepts in Grand Haven, Michigan, before becoming the President of Baker Trittin Press.
Aside from his career as a business executive, Mr. Trittin is also the Chairman of Tweener Ministries, which sponsors international competitions for high school students to write or illustrate children’s books. A closeted gay Christian since pre-puberty until 2009, he is also the co-founder of Gay Christian Fellowship.
At present, Mr. Trittin is the Vice President of Agape World Mission, Inc. based in Uganda, East Africa. The organization works to rescue throw-away children from the streets of Kampala. They are then fed and educated as part of its mission.
