Cousin Jeanne has always been an example of a woman in charge. Two hands up for how she managed to be a dynamic wife, mother and business woman for so many years. She’s a beautiful woman inside and out!

  • Jean Star Gater and I have known each other for over twenty years. I wrked with her when we were active in an organization of Black women to create an avenue to higher education for young Afro-American
children in the Detroit Public School System.
She is an a wonder mother, sister and friend. She has experience a great tragic when her husband Dr. Gater was injured in an accident. She tells of this in her book”Bring Back Summertime.
It is true life depiction of her battle to restore her husband to health . She fought hard to keep her family focused and on point .. to keep her husband well until his recent death.
She is a courageous woman; a woman of God,; a wonder friend, and a great writer.
