Robert Blondin talks to Benji Cole from People of Distinction and discusses his book, Searching for Papa’s Star.
Blondin shared the idea behind his book, which is a story about three children and their father as they look for stars and lucky stardust. The grandchildren gather together at least once a week to visit their Papa at his house.
The author lives in Toronto, Canada. He was born and raised in Callander, Ontario in 1949, the youngest of 12 siblings.
In 1968, he joined the Toronto Police as a records clerk. He was promoted to the position of supervisor four years later.
He also held several roles at the police station. He served as a quality control examiner and then became an Information Security Analyst later. In that role, he was responsible for quality control and systems analysis, auditing, help desk and systems training, systems and building access administration, IT, police investigations assistance in offline system searches, police tribunal and general court appearances.
Robert finally retired in 1999. He began writing poems during those years and onward.
