Author of the Month: Mursalin Machado

This month’s selection process for our Author of the Month has not been an easy task. Our editorial team once again turned to brainstorming on our next pick for this recognition, and it finally elected Mursalin Machado as Author of the Month.
Machado is the author of The Diary Of Lady X: Song Of The Sea. The book follows the story of Tony Lewis who loves to travel. Driven by a desire to see the world again, he leaves his girlfriend Maureen and joins the crew member of Lady X, an old Pearl Harbor ship, headed for Waikiki.
The book is inspired by actual events transformed into a heart-warming tale of adventure, loss, and love. It is a story of a man’s yearning for love and adventure. Later, that longing evolves into a search for the meaning of life.
Machado himself is a well-traveled man, having gone to the U.S., Europe, North Africa, and Asia since a very early age. He embarked on creative writing when he was in college, starting with poetry and stage plays before venturing into film scripts for the student films he completed.
The author believes that the experience he gained from meeting people throughout the world has been helpful in inspiring his writing.
