Author Spotlight: Donna Wren Carson, author of young adult mystery novels
Donna Wren Carson is a novelist whose passion for writing was born out of her role as a substitute teacher at her daughter’s elementary school. She now has three books under her name, all focusing on young adult mystery.
Carson dedicated the later part of her life to substitute teaching at her daughter’s school after she left the manufacturing industry.
Her stint as a teacher inspired her to bring more stories to children. Thus, it fired her imagination to write up good mystery novels including The Mystery of Grimly Manor, An Adventure in Arizona, and Ghost in the Turret.
Her series brings excitement to young readers through their relatable characters. The Mystery of Grimly Manor (Book 1) follows the story of sixth graders Leira, Addy, and Skye as they band together to solve the mysteries of Grimly Manor. An Adventure in Arizona is the second book in the series, which is the story of Leira and her new best friends Addy and Skye as they travel to Arizona to visit her sister for winter school vacation. Their adventure connects them to Indian lore, reptiles, animals and more. Ghost in the Turret is a horror book that will be published soon by Author Reputation Press.
Carson was born and raised in Enfield, Connecticut. Before writing young adult mystery novels, the author spent several years reading various books, which helped mold her writing style now.
Love her books and can’t wait for the next one to come out.
Than you so much for enjoying my books!
