Charles Campise leaves an important advice to aspiring authors
Author Charles Campise naturally started from scratch when he kicked off his career as an author.
He has written the critically acclaimed nonfiction book Adventures Of A Rideshare Driver as a result.
The book is an account of his daily routines ferrying passengers to their respective destinations. At some point in the journey, Charles would point to his favorite barbecue spot, for example, or the memorable places he has been to.
He has been a ride-sharing driver on more than seven thousand trips and has served more than twenty thousand passengers. Charles now shares stories of excitement, fun, and nostalgia at the same time through his book.
The author also has some lessons to impart to young and aspiring authors who would someday like to write a book themselves.
“[They] need to persevere in the work of putting ideas onto paper, get someone to read the ideas and to comment of the fitness of the content put together so far,” he said.
In between his trips, Charles wrote down in a journal his experience driving people around Texas. His accounts are often humorous and reveal an open-hearted attitude to his passengers.
