Rex T. Young has released his memoir, Diary of a Caregiver: The Dementia Journey, to the market.

The book chronicles how the author’s wife suffered dementia. In 2009, his wife of over 59 years was diagnosed with Dementia with Alzheimer’s symptoms.

Rex’s care giving responsibilities began before that time and continued until her death in January 2018. She was provided care in her own home. As time went by the caregiver duties became more and more demanding.

It was truly 24 hours each day and seven days each week.
