Venetta Whitaker has released her book titled Honeysuckle Plaits.

The stories on these pages are based on genuine occurrences and personal interactions with unforgettable people from various lives and backgrounds with whom I have shared tenderness, laughter, tears, and hope.

Storytelling is purifying. It is my hope that readers would embark on a soul-searching journey to fully express their creativity, believing, as I do, in the life-changing potential of narratives.

The book contains compelling true-life stories that take readers inside the minds of unforgettable people who reinvent their lives despite the odds.

Dr. Venetta Whitaker is a principal, assistant superintendent, and teacher (retired). She now resides in Las Vegas and works with traumatized youngsters in war-torn countries’ refugee camps.

Venetta Rowles is an experienced, award-winning educator and former child actress. She is currently a 12th grade Language Arts teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada.
