Tootsie Barron talks about her book “Sugar Paper” with CBS Radio’s Benji Cole about moving toward what is meant to happen, dating your destiny

Most of us have a sense that life is calling us to something more — something unique to us. We often have no idea what that calling is or what to do about it when we sense it. It is indeed crucial to figure out what life has in store for us because once we do, we will be able to take the next step toward our destiny. The author of this book, Tootsie Barron, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, and is currently called South Jersey, outside of “The Queen”, Atlantic City. She is a widowed mother of two grown children. She lives in a world of silence and her words after her beloved papillon, Wiseguy, crossed the rainbow bridge. She begins off as a naive, feminine girl and goes on to become renowned as “The Legend” and “New Jersey’s Most Standup Lady.” The godfather of New Jersey’s largest and most powerful mob family bestows both titles on her.

The godfather offers Kiki a significant present at the end of the book. The Uncle then honors a lifelong promise by telling her what she has a right to know, that nothing in her life has ever happened by coincidence. He discloses the true identities of each of the eight important people, as none of them are who she believed they were and ties up all the loose ends.

Sugar Paper is a book that reminds the readers that life is more than the here and now. Life has so much more to offer. Uncertain and unexpected things are waiting. One day, dating your destiny will come into play.
