Tiffany Clavecilla’s “The Dragon Commons: The Consumed Worlds,” a story that transports readers to a new era of time and introduces them to a realm of mysteries and wars, is now available
Tiffany Clavecilla has finally published her book, The Dragon Commons: The Consumed Worlds, with Author Reputation Press.
The Dragon Commons: The Consumed Worlds is a book that tells a story in the year 2048. A conflict between dragons and wyrms is raging in the areas beyond the Tiered Nations, a walled city. Ardyce, a Tree Crown Drake, and her people’s leader sets out to explore a massive hole in the ground. When a wyrm attacks, she is joined by her family and companion, Sasithorn, and they must fight for their lives. A motto exists throughout the Tiered Nations: “Live beyond satiation,” and consumerism is the only religion. Hadryn and his closest friend Thaddius are soldiers examining a strange death at the city morgue: a limb-hewn body that appears to have been ravaged by animals that are no longer alive.
All goods, including meat, are generated in laboratories and packaged as “cubed food.” Two letters to Hadryn come before Hadryn and Thaddius can continue their inspection of the body. One is from Hadryn’s long-time epistolary paramour, Oshin Rysing, who lives outside the Tiered Nations in a rebel colony that opposes the city’s gluttonous habits. The second letter is from his father and informs Hadryn that he will marry an unknown person, as is common for young women of marriageable age. Hadryn plans to confront his father during his engagement banquet, but weird incidents of people who appear to be sick with a horrific disease that leads to self-cannibalism occur, and a creature from Hadryn’s nightmares emerges.
