Alex Tarlue’s book, “Bridging the Gap: Between Culture and Religion”, a must-read that raises the flag of unity prevails over diversity, is now available for purchase

Alex Tarlue’s book Bridging the Gap: Between Culture and Religion was published in a collaboration with Author Reputation Press. The book outlines the well-known but underappreciated aches and struggles that come with division caused by differences. This book may challenge readers to reflect on and move into a place of greater oneness with others, as well as to bravely explore what it means to experience unity with others who are different from us.

Conversations about differences, racial conflicts, and injustices caused by other cultures and religions elevate everyone’s sensitivity level, and many feelings are hurt rather than heard. But what is our understanding of the gap, and how do we deal with situations in which we are involved?

Many people opt for racial tolerance rather than unity. We’ll cater to people of many races. We might even go to a racist rally. When the event is over, though, we part ways. This demonstrates that bridging the racial divide requires more than a pleasant “hello” and a smile.

The terrible death of George Floyd ignited a debate about why, in 2020, we are still discussing race and racial injustice. Many individuals asked, “What can I do?” in the hopes of finding a solution and common ground following his death.

There has been a lot of discussion about community restoration. Different points of view will be debated. Panel discussions are held in some religious institutions, while conferences are held in others. New projects are promised by some politicians. Is it, however, all talk? Is there anything concrete we could do to bridge the gap?

Bridging the Gap: Between Culture and Religion introduces us to young Kpadehee, a Liberian Muslim embarking on an exciting yet daunting journey to the United States. This book chronicles his journey—one that many others have traveled—as well as the common divide between African-Americans and Africans from Africa, as well as the divide between Christians and Muslims.
