JP Rosselle’s book, “LORI: Traveling Cat Series (Book IX)”, is now available for purchase
JP Rosselle, the author, was exposed to an exciting childhood at a young age. He grew up in Miami, a short distance from the entrance to Key Biscayne and the now-famous Vizcaya Estates. Key Biscayne still had an active Seminole Indian Village when he was growing up.
The Seminoles attacked the Light House at the end of Key Biscayne in 1835, but it was still standing in the same condition as before. Vizcaya was a massive abandoned, mostly walled property of over 50 acres that was as natural as it might have been if it hadn’t been for a three-story home sitting on it.
The waters of Biscayne Bay were then crystal clear and teeming with fish and crawfish. The author lived in a world that he perceived to be very different from that of ordinary children. He learned to swim, fish, camp, sail, and work with his hands from his father. When he was eight years old, his father, who was born in Key West, built their first sailboat.
Mr. Rosselle’s continuing abilities and adventures were enhanced by his participation in the scouting program from the age of eight to fifteen. He disliked going to school. He spent most of his school days wondering and plotting his next great trip. “The possible is done today, the impossible takes longer”, he usually says. He believes that anything is possible with hard work and the right attitude.
“LORI: Traveling Cat Series (Book IX)” is one of the books in the series The Traveling Cat, written by JP Rosselle. The author has previously taken his readers on a journey through the TOTO channel in early 1942 when a British destroyer was following a German U-boat. The Destroyer’s sonar picked up a second object that appeared to be trading bullets with the U-boat after it dived into the channel’s depths.
The U-boat was destroyed, and the Destroyer’s sonar picked up the second item, leaving the vicinity at an unimaginable speed, according to the Captain. The US Navy then dispatched a small submarine to investigate the British Captain’s statement. The US submarine was never seen or heard from again.
When the United States joined the war, the two countries decided to create a secret navy facility on Andros Island, near the site of both incidents. Whatever was down in the channel slowed their progress toward completing the base. Five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers took off from a Naval Air Station in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 5th, 1945, with the mission of silently bombing the TOTO channel.
The bombers called for backup, saying that they had lost all navigation and were having electrical problems after their first run over the channel. Another Navy plane was dispatched to assist. All six planes vanished without a trace. The US dropped a Salted bomb over the TOTO channel two weeks later.
A group of campers witnessed an aviation accident near the Carlsbad Caverns in 1951. The US government had their first ever living proof of aliens, with one injured alien aboard the recovery craft. After thirty years, the United States and the United Kingdom had completed their secret naval station on Andros. At the bottom of the channel, they discovered what they assumed to be a spacecraft.
The Navy employs Jim’s Group to bring up the object after repeated setbacks, including the loss of personnel and equipment. Jim has retrieved two similar vehicles and discovered a third, much larger vehicle in the San Juan River. Continue the adventure — read “LORI: Traveling Cat Series (Book IX)”.
