Ellen Gordon’s great spiritual and eye-opening book, “God and Choice and Life or Death,” is now available for purchase

Life is a series of choices, each of which determines the path it will take. Every day, we are faced with a plethora of choices. What are the best ways to make them? Will we choose life by allowing God’s Word to change our hearts? Or will we revert to our human nature, making a passive decision that leads to death? Do we strive to discern God’s will—to make decisions that are consistent with His viewpoint—rather than relying on our own reasoning? Are we spiritually mature enough to make wise choices? Do we ever become bored of making decisions, given the seemingly limitless number of possibilities we are presented with on a daily basis?
We’ve all made decisions and choices that have created roadblocks in our lives, preventing us from being true to ourselves, trusting others, and moving forward. We all have times in our lives when we must make difficult decisions. But how can we know which one is the best? God is aware, and you were created to make decisions with His guidance.

Title of Interview: God and Choice
The author of “God and Choice and Life or Death” defines choice as an established, intangible mechanism at the heart of our being that is activated by our will for our lives expressed through the spoken word of our mouths. This choice is sometimes overlooked or misunderstood, yet it is always present and available to us. Its objective is to release us (our spirit man) into the hands of freedom, a place within us where we are always safe, sane, and appreciative of the greatness that we have in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
This is the freedom of kings and priests, not the freedom of the footloose, wild, and fancy-free. Its liberty permits us to exercise our responsible rights. We acknowledge that God is responsible and the only right (Deut. 32:4), and that no one can gain rights without Him.
No one has the power or the blessing of God to do anything unless it is done through Him. This is the foundation of truth. “If you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples; indeed, and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”, Jesus declared in John 8:31-32.
First, He tells us to keep going. We can’t pick up God’s Word and put it down with the expectation of obtaining what it says. The key to our impending understanding and revelation is to stay in the Word. Jesus said, “Then are ye my disciples indeed.”
Disciples are disciplined people who acknowledge God’s order and resolve to carry it out. The physical evidence of the trained spirits, willed from the soul, is the orders carried out (mind). This is the divine order. Your soul wills your body to obey when your spirit (heart) is disciplined toward God.
