As a grandparent, she is at a point in her life where she can look back and see how God has blessed her through the years. God has richly blessed her and her family, and according to His Word, He will continue to bless us now and forever. The author wants her life to reflect Christ. She is grateful for the new life she has found in Him. She asks Him to fill her with His Spirit each day so that she might be an effective witness of His love.
The author praises and expresses her gratitude to the Lord for her precious children and grandchildren, which He has abundantly blessed her with. She prays to be a blessing in their lives as well as the lives of everyone with whom she comes into contact. She is ever so grateful for the material possessions the Lord has given her. She is most grateful for the treasure of her family—the only blessings she can take to heaven with her. She asks the Lord to guide and remind her to be a person of her word so that her family can follow her example. Thanking God for keeping His promise to us. We can take comfort in the fact that His Word will never fail.
Throughout her life, she has worked hard to achieve her goals. Her desire is to continue making progress, especially growing in her Christian life. God is her coach, her trainer, and her encourager as she runs the race God has for her. She prays that as she makes choices, God will help her to accept God’s discipline with grace, so that she may not only grow in her Christian life but also be an example to her family and friends.
Moreover, Grace Thompson, the author, put her prayers in these words:
As I interact with my family and friends may I hold Your word in my heart and reflect Your loving presence. Help me to guide and encourage them with wisdom. Not only have You blessed me with material possessions but also with unique talents that I can share with others. Make me aware of those who need my assistance so that I can share my time in helping or even listening when they need to talk. My treasure and abilities are Yours, Lord, I want to use them to benefit others. Thank You, Lord, for my heritage. I pray for the members of my family that they will live a life pleasing to You and will continue the Christian heritage. May they consider my life to have been one of faithful service to You. My mirror tells the truth. Looking at my changing feature, may I be reminded of Your changeless love. I pray that You are reflected in my every smile, my every word and every breath. I commit my life to you God. All of the before mentioned blessings are my reasons for writing.
