“A Commentary on the Book of Revelation” by Dr. John Wylie is now available for purchase

Author Reputation Press is thrilled and delighted to publish this thought-provoking book, which explores a vital, challenging, and life-changing—contrary to popular belief—topic. There are now copies of “A Commentary on the Book of Revelation” available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.

Due to the symbolism used by the apostle John, the book of Revelation is one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented texts in the Bible. The gospel of Jesus Christ is its main point. Revelation serves as more than just a timeline. Both in John’s day and in the present, it spoke to the church. Every day, we can learn from and apply the message of Revelation.

We are curious about what the future holds for Christians, yet we are baffled by Revelation’s bizarre animals, obscure figures, and dire warnings. The end of the world is the subject of Revelation. Revelation is ambiguous. What does it imply when there are dragons and monsters, fury, and grace? How can you balance God’s judgment and God’s mercy? Both are presented in the Bible, but nowhere is the contradiction more apparent than in this section from Revelation. So how do you respond?

The Reverend Dr. John Thomas Wylie, the author of “A Commentary on the Book of Revelation”, is a man whose life has been devoted to serving God, helping people, and bearing witness with authority to the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dr. Wylie received his call to the ministry in June 1979, and he enrolled in the American Baptist College of the American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee, the same year.

He read every book that was available to him as a young seminarian in order to increase his knowledge of God, God’s plan for salvation, and the Christian faith. As a bright student, he vowed to inspire people in the same way that God inspires him. Early in his career, he realized that people were beginning to doubt not only the existence of God but also the reality of miracles, the ability of man to influence change, and the identity of the enemy.

Dr. Wylie upheld his excellence-driven dedication to God, which helped him acquire his Bachelor of Arts in Bible, Theology, and Pastoral Studies. He proceeded to further his education while attending Emmanuel Bible College in Nashville, Tennessee, and Emmanuel Bible College in Rossville, Georgia and was faithful and obedient to the call of God. Dr. Wylie recently finished his Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Instructional Technology at The American Intercontinental University, Holloman Estates, Illinois, in March 2006. He was motivated to please the Lord and do what was well-pleasing in the Lord’s sight.

Prior to this, Dr. Wylie also received his Doctor of Theology from The Holy Trinity College and Seminary in St. Petersburg, Florida, and his Education Specialist degree from Jones International University in Centennial, Colorado.

The battle between good and evil is the subject of “A Commentary on the Book of Revelation,” and the victory of Christ and His church is the subject of Revelation, the final book of the New Testament. It is the most important of all apocalyptic texts and is occasionally referred to as the Apocalypse because of its first work in the Greek Original.

Apocalyptic passages can be found in the New Testament (e.g., Mark 13 and 2 Thessalonians 2), but Revelation, like Daniel in the Old Testament, is devoted wholly to this genre. As W. S. Thompson once stated, “The Revelation, the day John wrote it, was all that it is today. It revealed identically the same principles as it does today. Nothing has been added through historical events and incidents which help us to understand it. Nothing has been lost. If we were compelled to look to profane history for records of persons and events which would help us to understand the Revelation, then profane history would be the basis for our understanding and not the Revelation.”

The biggest and most reliable source for an understanding of Revelation in the Bible. There aren’t many symbols, warnings, or principles in Revelation that haven’t been effectively communicated over the ages. The encouragement of Revelation studies is the main goal of this publication.

As the Bible closes, the finish line of the world as we know it—becomes the start of “all things new.”
