The book “The New Bhagavad-Gita: Timeless Wisdom in the Language of Our Times” is a translation of an ancient epic that is also part of the Mahabharata. It is a Sanskrit epic poem from ancient India. The word Bhagavad-Gita means “The Song of God”. It tells a dialogue between the warrior-prince Arjuna and the God Krishna, standing in the middle of the battlefield. Hence, with this book, the translation will be freed of any restrictions, rigid, sectarian, and short-sighted notions, and will present it in a dialect that is equally basic as the Bhagavad-Gita itself, and devoid of detailed explanations.
Through the years, the Bhagavad-Gita is still one of the most translated Indian books. Apart from that, it is a part of the epic Mahabharata tale, and the chapters of the Bhagavad-Gita remain significant. It shows the message that actions and duties should be done without expecting any rewards. It is the story’s wisdom that the ancient book wanted to convey. There are a lot of lessons in Bhagavad-Gita that make its essence eternal. The tale of the warrior prince will continue to live as time passes, sharing its words with everyone.
