Abbott, the author of “Patches and Leif,” has 27 years of experience as a nurse working in the field of mental health and addictions, and he continues to collaborate with both new and established organizations to help those battling addiction find a haven. He enjoys spending his free time with his family, pets, and gardening. His lifelong objective has been to leave the planet in a better state than when he discovered it. He wants people to know about “Patches and Leif.”
The amazing children’s picture book “Patches and Leif” is a short story about Patches, the farmer’s scarecrow, and Leif, the wind-blown leaf. When Leif came, dancing in the wind, Patches, who was alone in the middle of the cornfield, was able to find a friend. They introduced themselves and shared their own experiences and journeys.
Sometimes we can find great people outside our common space. Going out and meeting new people will make our lives better. Surely, not all are good, but not all people also have bad intentions.
