Many of us believe that wisdom is something that older, wiser individuals possess. But regardless of how long we have lived, we can actually have it. Our world is filled with self-help materials, including those on Google, Facebook pages, and DIY blogs. How can we choose which counsel to believe in the midst of all the suggestions? Thankfully, the Scripture provides us with helpful guidance. Take the Book of Proverbs, for example. It is possible for readers to wander through this book of insightful information.
Our journeys through life might frequently seem like rocky, narrow roads. God’s approach to navigating the ups and downs of life’s travels is wisdom. With “WISDOM… Where Are You?” you can perceive seeking and discovering wisdom from a different angle.
Every one of us will come to a point in which we will ask, “What are we here for?” and then proceed to ask the why questions. These questions may guide the hearts and minds to discover and understand the essence of wisdom.
There is a famine in the land, but it is not for food or drink. There is a clarion call and a desperate need for godly wisdom in our society today (See 2 Kings 3:9-12 and Psalm 111:10a). While knowledge is increasing, wisdom is waning and has almost disappeared from the public square, from homes, and from religious and educational institutions. We are being called to turn from folly and to respond to the call of wisdom (Proverbs 9, NKJV).
“WISDOM… Where Are You?”, with its corresponding prayers, in addition to your own, attempts to help readers to learn wisdom and find knowledge and discernment that lead to an understanding and a more stable, peaceful, and successful life.
If any of you lack wisdom, ask God, who is a generous Giver to all people. The Lord longs to pour wisdom down upon His children like rain. As you read and consider this timely message, allow God to guide your heart. He enjoys sharing His philosophy on life. However, for God’s wisdom to permeate our minds, we must pursue it every day. We have access to God’s wisdom, and it begs for our contemplation.
