“Life is all about making memories, and what better way but through sharing good food and good fellowship!”
-Kathleen Mugnolo
Kathy Mugnolo currently resides in the small town of Warrenton, Virginia, which is located at the base of the Shenandoah Mountains. Within walking distance of farms and gardens, Kathy grew up in a tiny Pennsylvanian town. While her father was tending to his large vegetable garden and orchard, her mother was constantly in the kitchen, cooking and baking.
She looks back now and realizes how fortunate she was as a child. When winter arrived, the shelves in their home’s canning kitchen were piled high with everything they’d enjoyed from their garden all winter. It wasn’t until she was grown and married that she realized the joy that comes from creating and cooking a memorable meal for her family.
Kathy wasn’t just sharing the recipes she knew in the foods she cooked. She is sharing more than just food; she is also sharing an expression of love and friendship. As most of her cooking comes from her mother and mother-in-law, this cookbook she created is influenced by Lithuanian-Ukrainian and Italian cuisine.
Innovative cooking uses both instinct and imagination to direct the hands in the kitchen. Also, you don’t need to be a professional when it comes to cooking; just make some delicious dishes to feed the family, and that’ll be worth more than a five-star meal.
