No one is excluded from experiencing times of difficulty and trial. Adversity affects everyone, irrespective of their degree of faith or devotion to the Lord. We all encounter situations in life where we must make difficult choices. But how can you know which choice is the best one? God is aware, and you were made to make decisions in accordance with His wisdom.
Wisdom is one thing everyone needs in common. Both “substantial” and “little” decisions in life require wisdom, as does daily decision-making. Man has always sought knowledge from all reasonable sources. But God’s Word is by far the best source of divine knowledge.
Norma Evans Barber is a retired teacher who spends most of her days reading and writing. She has been a teacher for most of her life in the fields of elementary education, special education, and Bible studies in and around the Metropolitan District of Columbia community. Her writings are done with the objective of putting faces on Bible characters to encourage Bible literacy through meaningful life connections.
She conducted the Bread of Life International Fellowship in Washington, DC, and the workshop, “The Masks We Wear”, for hurting women. Norma is married and has a daughter. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education from Howard University and a Certificate of Graduate Studies from Regent University.
