“Scrutineer’s Wake: Discovery in D.C.” is a narrative that focuses on societal problems such as discrimination, ethics, and school gangs that cause further problems. Jalen Harkness sees the issues of a new and mistreated student as a teaching obstacle that jeopardizes his desire to improve and evolve as a historian.
Things will also change as the world grows older, as will the people around them. Adults think that it’s still the same as their time. However, there’s no certainty in this world. Children grow and will think on their own. But how good is it if they lived in a world where they were not judged based on appearance, the way they live, or if they don’t fit other people’s tastes?
