Denis R. Tougas, author of “The Feast of Angels,” is interviewed by Benji Cole of CBS Radio. They delve into the book’s message and the inspiration behind how the author wrote it.

Denis R. Tougas was born in 1951 in Detroit, Michigan, as the second son of ten children. He is a retired engineer who lives in South Carolina with his Australian artist wife. His first self-published book, “The Feast of Angels,” is dedicated to his late friend John. He enjoys getting the reader to think about the less obvious. When he isn’t writing, he volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and enjoys gardening.

Father Giuseppe Lorenzo’s mother vanishes from her hospital bed, leaving just ash behind. After the pope vanishes under similar circumstances, Father Lorenzo, historian and special adviser to the pope, thinks something is seriously wrong. Anhur, an Egyptian prophet, finds what Jewish academics have predicted for centuries: the invisible, raging war of Armageddon.

Flo, a hotshot Washington Post reporter, strives to reveal a government cover-up of the increasing disappearances. The FBI and the NSA try to quiet her, but she works with Father Lorenzo to investigate and translate holy scriptures to comprehend the significance of the unfolding tragedies and reports of disasters and catastrophes that tear at the fabric of mankind’s religion.

“The Feast of Angels” is a thrilling thriller about humanity’s impending doom. Together with an ex-CIA agent and a slew of scientists, they come across an old and malevolent force at work that threatens to end the world. Who will triumph?
