– an excerpt from the book

Author Reputation Press has published “Weeds” by Joseph Bahribek. This informative book shares the spirit of the author’s love for weeds and is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.

Some find weeds bothersome and useless. Some love their presence and allow them to grow as part of the nature that gives beauty not just to the eyes but also to the hearts.

In every garden, weeds grow and try to find a place to fight for their lives. Have we ever asked if weeds are relevant? Do we need them aside from the beauty of the greens they give our eyes? How much do we know about weeds? Do they have other uses? When we see weeds, what comes to our minds?

Joseph Bahribek, the author, was inspired to write a book for the love of weeds. He loves weeds because they remind him of when he used to walk in the wilderness of his home country, Iraq. There were many weeds to see at that time; they reminded him of John the Baptist, who used to spend most of his time in the wilderness, which must have had many different kinds of weeds.

This was another reason that motivated the author to write about weeds: to commemorate the life of John the Baptist, who lived among the weeds of the wilderness of ancient Israel and neighboring Jordan.
