Daniel L. Harmeson’s book, entitled “The Ramblings of a Father,” is now available on the author’s website. This website serves as a guide for readers, with biographical information about the author as well as information on how and where to purchase the author’s book.
Daniel Harmeson is a former naval officer with 27 years of active service who has been married to Zeny Harmeson for 31 years. He has two daughters, Charity Sandle and Christina Harmeson, as well as a granddaughter, Jasmine Sandle. Daniel was born in Danville, Illinois. He earned a baccalaureate degree in liberal arts. He works as a project superintendent for a huge construction company. He enjoys babysitting his granddaughter. His interests include writing poetry, restoring the house, and working on their land.
“The Rambling of a Father” is a collection of short, simple, and realistic poetry that is intended to make readers smile, inspire, or simply get through the day.
Harmeson began writing “Dear Jasmine” letters to his granddaughter before she was born, which became the basis for The Ramblings of a Father. The letters were compiled into a book, which was later made into a collection of poems. The theme is “basically just simplistically realistic ramblings about experiences, emotions, family, and my way of life,” as Harmeson would put it.
The author hopes that readers will respond to the poems by relating to them. Its goal is to elicit a mental or emotional response.
