Benji Cole of CBS Radio interviews the author of the amazing book entitled “Silent Invasion,” by Chris Shockowitz
Chris Shockowitz, author of “Silent Invasion,” was interviewed by Benji Cole of CBS Radio. They delve into the book’s inspiration and the reason why the author wrote it.
Chris Shockowitz discovered science fiction when he was ten when his dad recommended the Lensman Series by E. E. Doc Smith. After reading the series, he fell in love with the genre. He is a graduate of San Jose State University with a business degree and has worked as an intel for 25 years.
The “Silent Invasion” was the result of a series of events in the 1990s. It all started when the author learned about the Rwandan massacre. He couldn’t comprehend how two tribes that had lived in relative peace for hundreds of years had devolved into one of the world’s worst genocides.
Jeff Smith and Amber van Hosteen are the major characters in this “Silent Invasion.”
Amber van Hosteen’s ideal job is at News Corporation in New York City. That is until she discovers that large corporations are manipulating governments across the world, supporting dubious initiatives, and building massive factories in unstable places for unknown purposes.
Amber follows a trail of clues to a remote village in North Africa, determined to discover who is behind these murders.
When suspected supernatural materials are brought to the country’s attention, Jeff Smith, a CIA operative, is assigned to follow a mystery woman to Africa.
Amber is the person he’s chasing, and she chooses to investigate what she feels is a corporate cover-up in which governments are being exploited. However, the chemical manufactured by this company is only the beginning of Jeff and Amber’s concerns; their lives may be jeopardized because of what they’ve discovered.
If Amber and Jeff don’t stop it, what they’ve discovered will change the world forever. Will anyone believe them, and will they live to tell the tale?
