Benji Cole of CBS Radio interviews Randy Carlton, the author of “Child of Stone”

Randy Carlton, the author of the fantastic magical fantasy book “Child of Stone”, is interviewed by CBS Radio host Benji Cole. They delve into the book’s inspiration and message, asking why and how the author wrote such an amazing book.

“Child of Stone” is the story of a teenager who is cursed and transformed by a dragon’s tail. When an evil immortal discovers a realm created by the light, the journey begins. Darkness descends, a kid is born, and a curse is cast. In the war between light and dark, the Immortals require noble humans to be their champions. The child meets numerous charming spirits, a prince, and even a princess at the heart of the Immortals’ fight. Their songs quickly become involved in their conflict.

Randy Carlton, USMC, LTCOL (RET), grew up in Kansas on the exciting, wooded banks of the Arkansas River, where princes, princesses, and monsters became heroes. In the United States Marine Corps, his experiences continued in every climate and location. He led intrepid men of grit on exploits ranging from the American desert and coastline to the Far East’s jungles and bleak terrain, over turbulent seas, and across the dunes of Southwest Asia.

Randy Carlton’s book is also commended by Michelle Jacobs of the US Review of Books, who quotes, “Filled with pulsing action and vivid description, this sweeping story immerses readers in a wondrous new world filled with original mythology and offers a powerful rendering of an age-old conflict between light and dark.”
