Raising children can be both difficult and rewarding at the same time. Loretta Beacham, the author of the book “Charlie and the Elephant”, shares her amazing experience upon writing the book. Her book came from her daughter’s imaginative story when the author tried to put her to sleep.
Loretta Beacham lives in Ottawa with her partner Adam and their daughters, Charlotte and Violet. Several dust bunnies, several plush animals, a few board games, and stray LEGO parts are all part of family life. Charlotte, who was about four years old at the time, was the one who shared the fantastic story with her mother.
Charlotte, a curious and compassionate child, is chosen by a giant blue elephant to expel the cruel poachers from the forest in “Charlie and the Elephant”. They join forces with the cunning, chatty Mr. Crow and the compassionate, self-sacrificing Miss Ash Tree in a bold and resolute scheme. They save her friend and celebrate their victory with bravery, teamwork, and a surprise assault by a massive flock of crows.
“Charlie and the Elephant” is now available in three different languages, which are: French, Russian, and Spanish.
