“A Fish Called Bad Eyes: Finding Marsha’s Glasses” by Larry Golicz is now available for purchase
“We are not the only ones who live on or by the reef to suffer from the beings taking us without care for our survival. There must be something that I can do.”
– an excerpt from the book
Author Reputation Press is delighted to publish “A Fish Called Bad Eyes: Finding Marsha’s Glasses” by Larry Golicz. The book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.
A lifelong boater, Larry Golicz loves to fish, snorkel, scuba dive, explore reefs, and study their many inhabitants. A grandfather of five, the water continues to be a place for him and his grandchildren, who have inspired this story.
Now retired, Larry has the luxury of writing stories, many of which he has told at campfires with his family. He loves to exemplify wit and wisdom in our behavior and survival in the animal world. In the end, the moral of his stories is to learn about our world and to keep it the best place to live.
“A Fish Called Bad Eyes: Finding Marsha’s Glasses” shares how teamwork can make the impossible possible. It shows the efforts of Bad Eyes to convince other living creatures in their reef to cooperate on making their reef a safe community for everyone.
On a reef in Hawaii, our hero, called Bad Eyes, is a very small Manini fish with poor eyesight. Ushered to the rear of his school, he is charged with acting as bait for predators but is also able to survive as the fastest swimmer in the school.
While he was swimming near the surface, a pair of glasses fell into the water. Curious to investigate, he swims up to peer at the clear, glassy circles, when they suddenly fasten over his eyes. Diving to retrieve her glasses, Marsha meets Bad Eyes, who is now seeing better than any fish on the reef. They magically begin to speak. Marsha offers her glasses to Bad Eyes.
