“Who Drew The Two?” by Melton Luttrell is now available for purchase

“…from this persons of interest group, you got a lot of people I know, but I’m having trouble thinking anyone of those could do this. Heaven knows a lot of folks have been hurt enough to want to waste this guy, but to actually pull the trigger . . . that’s a whole new ball game.”

Author Reputation Press is delighted to announce the release of the book “Who Drew The Two?” by Melton Luttrell. The book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.

Melton Luttrell was born in Eastland County, Texas, in October 1928. He has recorded several records for Square-L-Records, which he organized and managed for several years. Beginning in 1960, Melton and his wife, Sue, managed several Square-L Records Institutes annually at various resorts in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. They also worked at annual square dance resorts in Colorado and Missouri. Melton has called festivals in over forty states and abroad in England, Australia, New Zealand, and even Saudi Arabia.

A supporting and charter member of Callerlab, the International Association of Square Dance Callers, Melton served as a member of the Board of Governors from 1972 until 1997. Melton designed, built, and managed Swingtime Center, one of the nation’s finest square dance facilities, and was instrumental in the organization of CASUL, Inc., which now owns and operates Swingtime Center. He served as their president for the first five years, and he still remains on the board today.

He was inducted into the American Square Dance Hall of Fame in 1977, and he was awarded Callerlab’s Milestone award, the highest recognition of achievement, in 1986. He was inducted into the North Texas Callers Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Texas Callers Hall of Fame in 2008.

Although square dancing remains a principal part of his life, Melton’s family of two sons, six grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren now receives an increasing amount of his time. A second book, provided the first is reasonably received, is a strong possibility.

“Who Drew the Two?” is a mystery story that piques readers’ interest in determining who the murderer is. In the small west Texas town of Burson, the murder of one of the richest young men in the city has the entire community in a whisper. As police chief Ward Thompson and sheriff Buck Jones combine their services to identify the killer and find the motive for the murder, five of the city’s prominent business owners become entangled with the events that led up to the tragic event.

With a varied cast of characters, including the owner of the local diner, the bank president’s secretary, and the murder victim’s widow, the epic story of a small town is revealed, and no corner of it is left unscathed. Weddings, divorces, and second marriages leave a suspicious trail that may lead to the identity of the murderer. West Texas high school football, square dancing, gambling in Las Vegas, and hunting and fishing trips—in a strange way—all contribute to solving the case. As a curious web of interrelated events unfolds, the question remains: Who Drew the Two?

Due to the dots of clues dropped throughout the story, readers will find it difficult to put this book down. “Who Drew The Two?” by Melton Luttrell is now available for purchase via ARP Bookstore: https://authorreputationpress.com/products/who-drew-the-two.
