Quentin W. Goodwin, the author of “Covid, Cancer, and Calling: A Memoir of Faith and Healing,” is interviewed by CBS Radio’s Benji Cole. The interview is about the discussion of the message of the book as well as the author’s purpose for writing this masterpiece.

Wisdom-filled author Quentin Goodwin, a native of Charleston, S.C., is a business professional in the financial services industry. In 2019, he answered God’s call and began his candidacy for ministry in the United Methodist Church. Quentin is married to Renee Curtis Goodwin and has two young children, Rylee and Rowan. The family currently resides in Mount Holly, NC.

“Covid, Cancer, and Calling: A Memoir of Faith and Healing” shares the author’s three life-changing events experienced over a three-year period. In 2019, he finally answered God’s call and began the process of ministry candidacy in the United Methodist Church. In 2020, COVID touched the lives of everyone, affecting the way we work, learn, and interact with others. In 2021, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, rare cancer that affects the white blood cells and weakens the immune system.

These three events, though separate occurrences, will forever be connected in his life through the valuable lessons learned during the three-year period.

His experiences with his CALLING, COVID, and CANCER have nurtured him into becoming a better Christian and family man and will prepare him for whatever the future has in store.

This book presents insight into five lessons learned through the CALLING, COVID, and CANCER experiences. It is the author’s prayer that these five lessons may minister to and empower those going through similar experiences in life.
