“Can I Still Believe in Heaven?” by Dan Quello is now available for purchase

“…when we look  at  these  early  people’s  culture  of  death,  we  begin  to  see  the  first  hints  of belief in an afterlife. For example, burial practices included placing practical items such as food, fur clothing, and weapons alongside the deceased. Some were even buried in a crouched, upright  position,  with  their  knees  bent  so  as  to  be  ready  to  commence on their final journey.”

Author Reputation Press is delighted to publish “Can I Still Believe in Heaven?” by Dan Quello. The questions we had about heaven as children—many of us still have them. While some have learned to live with their questions, others of us ponder them still. In order to gain a better understanding of heaven, the subject will be examined through two lenses: history and faith. This book is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ARP website.

The author’s purpose in writing this masterpiece is to show how our thinking about heaven has been impacted over the course of history by our changing worldview. In other words, as our thinking about God, humanity, and our place in the universe has changed, so has our thinking about heaven.

Dan Quello, the author, is well-equipped to guide readers through a thoughtful discussion of humankind’s fascination with an afterlife. Besides serving a postgraduate internship at the world-renowned Trauma Center of the Texas Medical Center, Dan holds three degrees in Philosophy, Theology, and Clinical Pastoral Care. Dan is also the author of several other books, including a series entitled (Books to Help the Hurts of Children). These books have won the endorsement of nationally syndicated columnist Ann Landers, who calls them ‘enormously helpful’.

Dan and his wife, Jacque, make their home in Portland, Oregon. Blessed beyond measure, they are heard to say often; “All this, and HEAVEN too!”

What do we mean when we say “heaven”?

When a loved one dies, or when we allow ourselves to think of our own mortality, we find ourselves up against one of the biggest questions of our existence: “What becomes of us when we die?”

A recent article in the Oregonian newspaper called it The Mother of All Questions. Even Google has it listed as its fifth most frequently asked question. It’s one of those questions we all think about but rarely find the courage or the occasion to talk about. That’s why the author chose to write this book. He wants to give people an opportunity to ask this question and to discover for themselves, both from whom and where, some of our ideas about Heaven have come.

In writing this book, he has sought to be honest, informative, and hopeful. His wish is that the curiosity that has driven his inquiry will be helpful to others who also want to know, “Can I still believe in heaven?”

By examining our questions about heaven through the two lenses of history and faith, it is this writer’s hope that each reader will be able to arrive at peace regarding his or her own life’s destiny.
