CBS Radio’s Benji Cole interviews Jasper Fullard Jr., M.D., the author of “The Impossible Dream”
Jasper Fullard Jr., M.D., the author of “The Impossible Dream,” is interviewed by CBS Radio’s Benji Cole. The interview is about the discussion of the message of the book as well as the author’s purpose for writing this masterpiece.
People of Distinction is one of the most wide-ranging radio shows in the United States, hosted by Benji Cole and Al Cole from CBS Radio. People of Distinction is the right fit for authors and readers to discover newly published books, mostly written by passionate and independent authors.
Benji Cole, the host of the program, is a world-class interviewer, video formulator, Los Angeles actor, and filmmaker. He’s shared the acting stage with superstar Tom Hanks.
The author, Jasper Fullard Jr., M.D., comes from a very poor family of eleven children, a poor educational environment, low self-esteem, and no Black professionals except for Black teachers to inspire him and other Blacks in the community; but at the age of twelve, he promised his mother that one day he would become a doctor so that Blacks would not have to suffer from the lack of adequate health care. The promise to his mother was “an impossible dream.”
“The Impossible Dream” is an inspiring book where readers learn how the miracles of God navigated the author’s crooked journey and how the impossible was made possible. He was able to obtain a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science, and two years in a Ph.D. program before completing a medical degree. Along with other healthcare providers, he was able to organize a not-for-profit organization to decrease healthcare disparities in the Black community.
Racism and healthcare disparities have always been problems in the Black community, especially in small country towns. “The Impossible Dream” illustrates how a poor Black boy at the age of twelve watched his mother almost die from the lack of adequate health care from a White doctor. This masterpiece is certainly a story of hope and inspiration written in the pages.
