Juanee’tah Perry, the author of “Love vs. Life,” was interviewed by CBS Radio’s Benji Cole. The interview is about the discussion of the message of the book as well as the author’s purpose for writing this masterpiece.
People of Distinction is one of the most wide-ranging radio shows in the United States, hosted by Benji Cole and Al Cole from CBS Radio. People of Distinction is the right fit for authors and readers to discover newly published books, mostly written by passionate and independent authors.
Benji Cole, the host of the program, is a world-class interviewer, video formulator, Los Angeles actor, and filmmaker. He’s shared the acting stage with superstar Tom Hanks.
“Love vs. Life” by Juanee’tah Perry is commended by Amanda Hanson of the US Review of Books, who highlights that “the author deeply dives into Angel’s mental and psychological state regarding her relationship with Juan. For example, the author lays out Angel’s emotions when Perry describes the scene in which Juan hits Angel for the first time. Angel is torn between her love for Juan and her sanity. She does not want to let go of him despite him mistreating her. Conflict is on her mind, but she chooses to stay in the relationship. As a matter of fact, Perry establishes a sharp contrast between Angel staying in this toxic relationship and Angel seeking attention online from a stranger. Angel does not want out of the relationship, but at the same time, she talks to a mysterious man on the internet. Overall, readers will appreciate this book because it conveys the idea that anybody can choose to go on the right path and change.”
Writing has been a part of Juanee’tah Perry’s life since the fifth grade. She loves to write. In addition to books, she writes songs and poems. Her writing usually focuses on personal experiences. Because she knows that situations like these might occur in real life, she published this book in an effort to pursue a novel venture.
In the story “Love vs. Life”, there was a couple who were once in love. They did everything together. Then secrets started, and the girl started to speak to someone on social media. She eventually found out that the man from the internet was her boyfriend’s brother. She did not tell her boyfriend that she was talking to him. She found out that he was her boyfriend’s brother.
When she found that out, she tried to stop speaking to him, but the man was a stalker, and he was not going to stop. He raped her one night, and she ended up pregnant because she was so disgusted that she made it seem like the baby was her boyfriend’s. The baby came, and she became insane; her boyfriend became her husband. Her daughter was born, but as she grew up, she became crazy. When she turned ten years old, she killed her mom because her mom killed her biological dad.
As she got older, her dad, who’s been there since day one, turned her into the mental hospital, where she thought she was in love with a doctor who was not a doctor but someone who could destroy her life. Her dad finally comes to get her and sends her off to college.
