David Davila was born in Austin, Texas, and served in the United States Marine Corps for six and a half years. He moved to Portland, Oregon, with his wife Rosalee after leaving the Marine Corps, where he worked for the Postal Service and authored “Two Souls”, his first book. He returned to Austin, Texas, where he worked for the US Postal Service for the final fifteen years of his career.
“Brothers” by David Davila talks about detective Pete Rodrequiz and his partner, Paul, in a world of the unknown, where strange occurrences take place in mother nature. Two brothers, Frank and George, take you on a killing spree and tell their story of abuse and how they evolved to survive.
A movie script coverage for this book has been prepared for its qualification for a Hollywood movie adaptation. The screenplay is the common ground on which producers, directors, actors, and production teams working on the movie will collaborate from start to finish and serves as a roadmap for them in terms of what will be seen on the big screen.
This book was commended by Mihir Shah of the US Review of Books, who acknowledges that, “Overall, Davila’s text is jarring, filled with the harrowing details of systematic dehumanization via death. Yet this knack for detail within the darkness keeps the audience engaged throughout the novel.”
