“Reboot Nation: A Guide To The Internet For The Technically Challenged” by Steven Grabiel was nominated for the 2023 Eric Hoffer Book Award

Every year, everyone has been waiting for the great news. And now, the results for the Eric Hoffer Book Award have been released.

Steven Grabiel’s “Reboot Nation: A Guide To The Internet For The Technically Challenged,” published by Author Reputation Press, participated in the 2023 Eric Hoffer Book Award. This masterpiece is a book that outlines the different forms of Internet connections available to today’s consumers. Inside are also helpful tips and advice for the average consumer to implement to ensure their connections to the World Wide Web are fast and reliable.

The Eric Hoffer Book Award commemorates the memory of the famous American philosopher Eric Hoffer by honoring outstanding writing and the independent spirit of small publishers. Since its foundation, Hoffer has grown to become one of the most prestigious worldwide book awards for small, academic, and independent presses.

The Eric Hoffer Book Award committee has completed its judging process for another year. Each person who participated and submitted their entry is appreciated. Thank you for your support. The award is facilitated by The Eric Hoffer Project, dedicated to maintaining Hoffer’s work and legacy.

This heartwarming patronage has helped make the Eric Hoffer Book Award one of the world’s premium independent book awards. Every book was carefully read and evaluated. Being part of this is such an honor and privilege for many.

“Reboot Nation: A Guide To The Internet For The Technically Challenged” by Steven Grabiel is highly praised by Mark Heisey of the US Review of Books, who underscores that “Grabiel has many years of experience in the field he is writing about. He uses this experience and the lessons he has learned from dealing with customers over the years to guide him while writing a beginner-friendly guide to understanding and purchasing internet service. The writing is clear and to the point, and the book is separated into easily manageable chapters. Grabiel uses plain speech and offers examples to help one understand the concepts he explains. At times, the presentation is a bit dry, and there are instances when a one-page infographic might display the same information in an easier to-grasp and remember format. Still, sitting well under one hundred pages, the book delivers the information in a concise format that is understandable to most readers. Anyone wishing to understand the world of internet service providers to be better informed and make an intelligent decision before making a purchase will find good information in this book. “

Steven Grabiel began poking around with computers and the infant Internet in 1982. Working a summer job doing landscaping, he saved up enough money to purchase an Atari 400 computer and a modem. Steven’s clients call him the Internet Guy.

Steven attended California State University in Long Beach beginning in 1988 in pursuit of a degree in electrical engineering. After three years, he transferred to California State University, Chico, to finish his degree.

While working toward an electrical engineering degree, he also took an interest in microwave transmissions of signals. This interest would blossom into the business he now operates.

The author was interviewed by Spotlight TV’s Logan Crawford, who is an actor and Emmy award-winning anchor, reporter, talk show host, and actor with recurring roles on such hit TV shows as Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, House of Cards, Person of Interest, and The First Purge.

Steven Grabiel had his Book Signing at the Los Angeles Festival of Books (LATFOB) 2023 Book Signing Event. The Los Angeles Times held its much-awaited annual Festival of Books on April 22–23, 2023.
