“Chance of Precipitation” by Scott Miller was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2023 at the University of Southern California on April 22-23, 2023.

The much-anticipated annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2023 was held on April 22–23, 2023. It was attended by nearly 500 authors and hundreds of exhibitors. The festival was launched to connect individuals who read books with those who write them. The range of book genres exhibited at the festival captivated readers of all ages. Scott Miller spent 22 years as a college wrestling coach at Eastern Washington University, Springfield College, Campbell University, Syracuse University, and Pacific University, 18 of those years as a head coach. After retiring from coaching, Scott went into mental health services and served as a CBRS, SUD case manager, and anger management specialist for 10 years.

Currently, he is an emotional regulator and victim’s advocate in Wallace, Idaho, and continues to coach wrestling at the high school and middle school levels. Scott is married to Amy and has one daughter and three sons.

“Chance of Precipitation” by Scott Miller presents the story of Randy Albertson, who is ready for a change after 22 years of being a college coach, thanks to a new athletic director and a restless alumni group.

Randy’s best buddy, Adam Chadwick, runs a thriving auto dealership in another state, and he decides to go it alone, but not without the assistance of his family, as he soon finds.

Following a bright start, Adam is beset by disasters, while Randy becomes entangled with the whirlpool. Randy is the last straggler to cope with the situation when Adam is apprehended and charged with extortion. Randy loses everything, including his family, because of the bad news caused by the allegations and the downturn.
