“Secrets Are Out Now: How a Girl Overcomes the World” by Crystal Rivers is highly praised by Kat Kennedy of the US Review of Books, who underscores that this heartbreaking tale of a woman’s search for identity is, at its core, a story of survival. Her candid chronicle of her life depicts one of struggle and disappointment, but, as she states in her book, “I am a survivor.” And so, she is. She attempts to give her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren a good life, putting her family first. Through her trust and devotion to God, she finally pulls her life together, though she continues her search for a good and peaceful life. Readers will be astonished by Crystal’s journey, but most of all by her perseverance. She never gives up on trying to better herself and finding the peace she so desires. This fascinating story of survival stays with readers long after the book is finished.”

Crystal Rivers was born in Detroit, Michigan, and was adopted at the age of six months by a German family. She was raised in Roseville and attended college, earning a bachelor’s degree in arts and sciences. She had children in between her nine marriages. In many ways, she became a go-go dancer. She worked in a variety of fields. Her previous husband left her a widow. She was always on the lookout for love in the most unpleasant areas.

The Hollywood movie treatment for “Secrets Are Out Now: How a Girl Overcomes the World” was released in preparation for the author’s application for a Hollywood film adaptation.

The true story of a woman coming to grips with her life may inspire the readers’ tired hearts and minds.
