“A Commentary on the Book of Revelation” by Dr. John Thomas Wylie was nominated for the 2023 Eric Hoffer Book Award

Every year, everyone has been waiting for the great news. And now, the results for the Eric Hoffer Book Award have been released.
Dr. John Thomas Wylie’s “A Commentary on the Book of Revelation,” published by Author Reputation Press, participated in the 2023 Eric Hoffer Book Award. This masterpiece discusses the conflict between good and evil, and Revelation—the final book of the New Testament—focuses on Christ’s triumph and that of His church. Since its original publication was in the Greek original, it is the most significant of all apocalyptic works and is occasionally called the Apocalypse.
The Eric Hoffer Book Award commemorates the memory of the famous American philosopher Eric Hoffer by honoring outstanding writing and the independent spirit of small publishers. Since its foundation, Hoffer has grown to become one of the most prestigious worldwide book awards for small, academic, and independent presses.
The Eric Hoffer Book Award committee has completed its judging process for another year. Each person who participated and submitted their entry is appreciated. Thank you for your support. The award is facilitated by The Eric Hoffer Project, dedicated to maintaining Hoffer’s work and legacy.
This heartwarming patronage has helped make the Eric Hoffer Book Award one of the world’s premium independent book awards. Every book was carefully read and evaluated. Being part of this is such an honor and privilege for many.
“A Commentary on the Book of Revelation” by Dr. John Thomas Wylie is highly praised by Barbara Bamberger Scott of the US Review of Books, who highlights that “Wylie has been fascinated by the Book of Revelation since he was a student preparing for a role as a minister and educator. His text elucidates the work’s deeper meanings and follows its narration with almost line-by-line quotations, along with references from other portions of the Bible. He is convinced that Revelation provides a means of helping Christians understand God’s plan for humanity and the individual’s place in that grand structure. Wylie also draws on noted scholarly sources and provides a useful bibliography. These contributions, combined with his lively observations, are offered with the admirable purpose of enlightening readers in their own private or churchbased group study of Revelation’s original, unchanging purpose.”
Rev. Dr. John Thomas Wylie, the author of “A Commentary on the Book of Revelation”, is a man whose life has been devoted to serving God, helping people, and bearing witness with authority to the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dr. Wylie received his call to the ministry in June 1979, and he enrolled in the American Baptist College of the American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee, the same year.
He read every book that was available to him as a young seminarian in order to increase his knowledge of God, God’s plan for salvation, and the Christian faith. As a bright student, he vowed to inspire people in the same way that God inspires him. Early in his career, he realized that people were beginning to doubt not only the existence of God but also the reality of miracles, the ability of man to influence change, and the identity of the enemy.
Dr. Wylie upheld his excellence-driven dedication to God, which helped him acquire his Bachelor of Arts in Bible, Theology, and Pastoral Studies. He proceeded to further his education while attending Emmanuel Bible College in Nashville, Tennessee, and Emmanuel Bible College in Rossville, Georgia, and was faithful and obedient to the call of God. Dr. Wylie recently finished his Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Instructional Technology at The American Intercontinental University, Holloman Estates, Illinois, in March 2006. He was motivated to please the Lord and do what was well-pleasing in the Lord’s sight.
Prior to this, Dr. Wylie also received his Doctor of Theology from The Holy Trinity College and Seminary in St. Petersburg, Florida, and his Education Specialist degree from Jones International University in Centennial, Colorado.
The author was also interviewed by CBS Radio’s Benji Cole in the program People of Distinction. The program is one of the most wide-ranging radio shows in the United States, hosted by Benji Cole and Al Cole from CBS Radio. People of Distinction is the right fit for authors and readers to discover newly published books, mostly written by passionate and independent authors. Benji Cole, the host of the program, is a world-class interviewer, video formulator, Los Angeles actor, and filmmaker. He’s shared the acting stage with superstar Tom Hanks.
The biggest and most reliable source for an understanding of Revelation is the Bible. There aren’t many symbols, warnings, or principles in Revelation that haven’t been effectively communicated over the ages. The encouragement of Revelation studies is the main goal of this publication.
As the Bible closes, the finish line of the world as we know it becomes the start of “all things new.”
