Birds of a Feather” presents the story of Officer Laura Camp, who once loved the movie “The Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock – that was before she lived out the horrific reality. Vultures suddenly began attacking everyone at her workplace, the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC).

The vultures aren’t her only worry; the Crown gang is attempting to set free one of their own, a prisoner named Mack. To everyone’s surprise, Mack returned to assist Officer Camp in dealing with the vulture threat after the successful attempt.

Will he turn away from a gangster’s life to become the honorable man Officer Camp knows he can be?

This book was also praised by Jake Bishop of the Pacific Book Review, to wit, “While some novels are content to confine themselves to one storyline, others attempt to pursue multiple plots and/or subplots which often intersect, interact, and eventually merge into the overall tale. Author Michele Wallace Campanelli’s Birds of a Feather is the latter. It appears to initially focus on a horror story—bizarre bird attacks from ferocious Vultures—then it segues into the chronicle of a young man’s conflict between accepting the life he’s been born into, or embracing a more honorable path that might lie before him—it even explores the relationships between what primarily appear to be supporting characters, but soon become part and parcel of the overall narrative.”

Michele Wallace Campanelli was interviewed by Logan Crawford of Spotlight TV to talk about her message and inspiration for “Birds of a Feather.” Click on this link to watch the full interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thVhwniKaZA.
