“Murder in the Vatican” by Arthur Cola was among the books displayed by Author Reputation Press during the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2023 at the University of Southern California on April 22-23, 2023.

The much-anticipated annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2023 was held on April 22–23, 2023. It was attended by nearly 500 authors and hundreds of exhibitors. The festival was launched to connect individuals who read books with those who write them. The range of book genres exhibited at the festival captivated readers of all ages. Author Reputation Press is committed to connecting readers and authors through books. ARP participated in the book gallery organized by LATFOB. In line with this, ARP exhibited some of its spectacular books to the festival audience. The wide selection of genres made the gallery more enticing.

Arthur Cola was born in Chicago in the Little Italy neighborhood of the near west side. His family moved to Oak Park, IL where he attended Oak Park-River Forest High School. While attending Loyola University, Chicago, he met his future wife, Donna Shields. Together they have five adult children and seven grandchildren. He, his wife, and family now live in Wisconsin.

He has been an educator for 35 years. During that time, he served as a teacher of history and as a school Principal. He received his master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and post-graduate work at the University of St. Mary of the Lake and Loyola University, Rome His research for his novels has brought him to Italy, Ireland, England and Wales and throughout the United States. He had written ten novels in the genre of Fantasy, Supernatural Thrillers and Historical Fiction as well as his De Cenza Murder Mysteries Series.

Murder in the Vatican” is set during the Second Vatican Council meeting, which is about to open the windows of the old church in the Eternal City of Rome. While that breath of fresh air is going to flood the globe with optimism, a horrific attack is taking place near the banks of the Tiber River. It is one that will shed light on a narrative set just after World War II’s end, which rocked Italy to its core. The attack is being witnessed by two seminarians who are Apostolic College Council Assistants.

So, a fresh mystery for Ron De Cenza and Bob Wentz to unravel starts. Only this time, the trio is joined by Ron’s sister, who has arrived in Rome for her college studies, as well as that fake Southern Belle whose heart belongs to one of them.
